About the GuideChristina Sol was born in San Francisco, California, and crossed the border into Mexico at age 22 for what was meant to be a two-week vacation. Life had other plans. She fell in love with a Mexican man, entered a 25-year marriage, and became the mother of two beautiful children and now, a delighted grandmother. When the marriage came to its natural close, Christina moved to San Miguel de Allende, where she has lived for the past 27 years. It was there that her inner journey of healing truly began.
In 1991, Ayahuasca first entered Christina’s life through a visiting Peruvian shaman. “I did my personal work for seven years,” she recalls, “working with what I call the Ayahuasca of the Sun.” These early years were devoted to deep self-exploration, and many of the visions she received were expressed through her paintings windows into the soul of her awakening, many of which have found their way into the hands of others.
Then, in 2008, the Call came a direct transmission from the Divine Mother:
Serve the Divine Feminine Principle. Carry Her medicine.
That was the only instruction, and Christina said yes.
Three further directions followed:
Go to Peru. Study with a woman. Base in Cusco.
Soon after, she had a dream:
"You already have the experience. You just need the certificate." While in Cusco, another dream came. The Mother herself appeared and declared:
“No more shaman shopping. Your way is the new way.”
And so it was. Christina returned to her hotel room and began learning directly from the Source — without external teachers, rituals, or traditions. She opened herself as a vessel of remembrance and has since facilitated over 800 ceremonies in the past 18 years, bearing witness to countless recoveries, awakenings, soul reunions, and inner transformations. Through the medicine and the people who came to sit with it, she became both student and guide.
On December 21, 2024, the Solstice, Christina completed 52 years of living in Mexico. According to the Mayan calendar, this marks the close of a full life cycle. And indeed, the years have revealed their wisdom in hindsight: Christina came to Mexico to complete a karmic story written in the stars. That sacred cycle has closed — and in its place, a new one has begun.
In its wake, four energetic gifts were transmitted to her. These are:
HEART A life now fully centered in the Heart. Living and loving from the inner sanctuary of Source.
FAMILY A deep sense of belonging to the People of the Heart: the human family of feeling, connection, and care.
HUMOR The essential superpower that makes navigating Mexico (and Earth) possible. Laugh, accept what is, and deal with it.
